Food System in Compshop
Food is a newer addition to Compshop that reflects real internet cafe culture where Bantays serve snacks and drinks to gaming customers. Food items keep players at your PCs longer, increase per-session payments, and add authentic cafe atmosphere to your shop.
The food system complements PC income rather than replacing it. Think of food as a multiplier on customer dwell time — the longer someone stays, the more they pay for their session.
Available Food Items
Compshop features a growing menu of food and beverage items inspired by Filipino internet cafe staples. Items range from affordable snacks to premium meals with higher customer satisfaction bonuses.
- Snacks — chips, biscuits, and quick bites with low cost and modest retention boost.
- Drinks — sodas, coffee, and energy drinks with moderate satisfaction bonuses.
- Meals — rice plates and noodle dishes with the highest dwell time increase.
- Special items — limited-time foods introduced during beta updates and events.
Food Station Setup
Place food stations near PC clusters so customers access snacks without walking far. A dedicated food corner with a counter and nearby seating creates a natural cafe flow. Combine with decorations from our decorations guide for a cohesive look.
Start with one drink station and one snack option. Expand the menu as your cash income grows. Over-investing in premium meals early drains cash needed for PC upgrades.
Food and Income Optimization
Track customer session length before and after adding food. Effective food service should noticeably increase average session duration. If sessions stay the same length, reposition your food station closer to PC rows.
During x2 Cash events, food-enhanced sessions generate even more revenue per customer. Stack with Double Cash Potions for maximum effect — see our events guide.
Food Restocking and Costs
Food items require periodic restocking with cash. Budget for restock costs in your daily income calculations. Cheap snacks have lower restock costs but smaller bonuses; premium meals cost more but retain customers significantly longer.
A balanced menu with one snack, one drink, and one meal option covers most customer preferences without excessive restock expenses.
Future Food Updates
The developers label food as a new feature and continue adding items with each beta patch. Watch the Compshop Discord and our events page for announcements about seasonal food items and event-exclusive menu additions.
